The Vantage™ Advantage of Bethesda MRI
Patient Comfort
Bethesda MRI focuses on patient comfort to improve image quality and to ensure a low stress experience for the patient. Uncomfortable, fidgety patients make MRI images unclear and require frequent “retakes”. It is important for patients to remain motionless so doctors get the best image possible. The Vantage™ MRI system is designed for patient comfort. The Vantage™ system features:
Ultra-short bore length
A shorter tunnel requires only the body part being examined to be inserted. Depending upon the procedure this often means that the patient’s head remains entirely outside the magnet.
Ultra-wide bore
A wider tunnel (65cm) spacious enough that patients feel less closed in and claustrophobic.
Ultra-quiet technology
The Vantage’s magnet is enclosed in a vacuum that reduces the amount of noise by 90 percent. Typical MRI machines produce a “jack hammering” that patients find unnerving.
Quiet Technology
In recent years MRI technology has become more advanced and the quality of images has improved. However these advancements have meant that the magnet has to work harder and has consequently become louder. The Vantage™ is the first MRI to combine the latest image enhancement techniques with patient friendly noise reduction technology that reduces the typical “jack hammering” to mere tapping.
Bethesda MRI is the first location in the Mid-Atlantic to have this quiet technology known as Pianissimo™, a musical term meaning very quiet. In addition to less noise the patient will also experience greater ease of communication with the MRI technologist.
Accurate Images
The ultimate goal of any MRI machine is to obtain the best quality images possible. Bethesda MRI’s Vantage™ system has the technology to deliver gold standard imaging that physicians can use to diagnose and evaluate a physical condition. Moreover the Pianissimo™, shorter bore, and wider bore make the imaging experience more comfortable for the patient and because it is easier for a patient to remain motionless during an exam the Vantage™ assures that physicians get the best possible images for the most accurate diagnosis.
